About The Position

The HVAC/R Tech will assist with maintenance or other requests, identifying and correcting the problems with HVAC/R equipment. Responsibilities also include performing various work order tasks and preventative maintenance on equipment. This is a Full Time position with 2nd shift availability. The pay rate is $22.00 per hour. The location is Benchmark Hospitality at Deloitte University Hotel & Training Center.

Requirements

• Two years’ building maintenance experience required.
• One year experience in HVAC/R repairs or HVAC/R school certification required.
• EPA CFC Type I and Type II required. Universal preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams, and plumbing blueprints.
• Skilled with using tools required in this trade.

Nice To Haves

• Texas Driver’s License with good driving record preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes work orders submitted for HVAC/R equipment within the property.
• Confers with Sr. HVAC/R Tech on issues unable to be resolved.
• Performs preventative maintenance and maintains logs in an organized manner.
• Performs duty rounds by using daily checklists.
• Reports on and corrects noted problems.
• Identifies problems, initiates work orders, accomplishes assigned work orders, and does all necessary repairs relating to their expertise.
• Responsible for correct use of building systems such as Building Management System and Life Safety Systems. (training provided).
• Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient workspace.
• Responsible for maintaining inventory of tools in use.
• Work in a safe manner including proper use of PPE and following safety protocols.
• Responsible for correct use of maintenance request system. Training provided.
• Assist with maintenance requests for other trades, as needed.
