About The Position
Fortis Institute in Pensacola, FL, is seeking an experienced, highly motivated HVAC instructor to join its faculty. Fortis Institute provides educational programs that deliver real-life career skills in high-demand occupations. We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach in our HVAC Technician program. This is a part-time (22 hours per week), professional position reporting directly to the Program Director. The primary responsibility will be to teach HVAC-R courses. Applicants will also be expected to provide academic advising to students, assist the program director, and participate in department training, meetings, and graduation.
Requirements
- At least three years of experience working in HVAC-R service positions
- HVAC Certified
- EPA Universal Certified
- Diploma required
- EPA Certification
- At least three years of experience in the field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized, motivated and results driven
Nice To Haves
- HVAC Journeyman
- NATE Certified
- Prior higher education/postsecondary teaching experience is a plus, but will be provided as part of our orientation and ongoing development training.
- Applicants must be positive and motivated to work with our students and provide positive training and advising to help them achieve their career goals.
- Prior teaching experience preferred
