About The Position

As a Project Specialist/Welder at Hoffman Mechanical, you will join an employee-owned and operated business focused on quality work and customer service. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to lift heavy materials and tools.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
More than 4 years of experience.

Responsibilities

Use and interpret blueprints to determine how and where to fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal products.
Measure and mark dimensions and lay out materials to be installed using tools such as scribes, rulers, calculators, and squares.
Fasten sheet-metal joints and seams with solder, welds, caulk, bolts, and metal driver clips, ensuring careful work and durable bonds.
Install assemblies, including pipes, HVAC ducts, flashings, rain gutters, and furnace casings, in supportive frameworks.
Maximize efficiency while fabricating and installing HVAC systems.
Use hand and power tools to trim, buff, smooth, file, and grind metal surfaces and joints of assembled parts to ensure safety and a seamless appearance.
Select the appropriate type and gauge of sheet metal for projects according to specifications.
Prioritize safety during all activities, including tool use and metal installation and fabrication.
