About The Position

We are seeking a driven and customer-focused Outside Sales Representative to promote, market, and sell our HVAC, plumbing, and electrical products and services. This role involves meeting directly with customers, identifying their home comfort needs, and providing customized solutions that deliver value and satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Consult with new and existing customers to assess their HVAC and home comfort needs Design and present customized system solutions, including maintenance program options Lead the sales process from initial contact through closing to ensure a positive customer experience Clearly explain product features, pricing, financing options, and proposals Prepare accurate sales orders and coordinate with Install Coordinators for project execution Address and overcome technical and business objections Follow up on leads and quotes to drive conversions Conduct post-sale follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and fulfillment of agreements Generate new business through networking, referrals, and community engagement Participate in company-sponsored sales activities such as trade shows and events Collaborate with the Installation team to ensure successful project completion Attend daily morning install team meetings for job preparation Achieve a minimum annual sales target of $2 million Heartland Home Service is an equal opportunity employer. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required (college degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years of outside sales experience
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals
  • Strong customer service and communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Proficient in computer systems and ability to learn new software
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the service area
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Professional demeanor with a high level of integrity
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required for company vehicle use)
  • Frequent walking, standing, and driving
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments
  • Comfortable navigating attics, basements, crawl spaces, ladders, and stairs
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
