About The Position

Installs, troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs heating and air conditioning equipment and control systems. Equipment sizes may vary depending on area of responsibility.

Requirements

• Associate degree in a relevant area; relevant experience may substitute for education.
• Four years of appropriate experience.
• EPA Universal certification.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Attends meetings, briefings, and trainings to increase knowledge and job performance.
• Installs complete DX systems in computer rooms and other locations as necessary.
• Maintains mechanical equipment rooms in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Performs preventative maintenance on heating and cooling equipment.
• Repairs and/or replaces cooling and mechanical equipment, including assisting with refrigerators, freezers, pumps, and shop equipment.
• Responds to cold or hot calls and starts or stops chillers and boilers.
• Tracks time, man-hours, and refrigerant usage; orders parts and coordinates with outside suppliers.
• Troubleshoots and resolves issues with heating and air conditioning systems, and repairs and/or replaces defective parts.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
