About The Position

W.B. Guimarin is hiring a Commercial HVAC Installation Mechanic in the Columbia, South Carolina area. The role is suited to an energetic, knowledgeable, customer-focused individual who can install and test commercial HVAC systems and related components. Candidates with 3–5 years of commercial HVAC experience are preferred. The mechanic installs HVAC equipment to manufacturer specifications, wires associated low- and high-voltage circuits, performs soldering and brazing on refrigerant and water piping, and installs duct systems and related components. The role also involves inspecting and testing systems against plans and specifications, identifying malfunctions, ensuring work is complete and accurate, working safely and cooperatively, and maintaining the cleanliness of the company vehicle. The position requires physical work, including using tools, lifting and carrying materials, and climbing and balancing on ladders and scaffolds. The role offers $20–$32 per hour, based on experience, along with insurance options, a 401(k) with matching, paid time off, holiday pay, and a company vehicle. W.B. Requirements

At least 3–5 years of HVAC experience is preferred; commercial-market experience is preferred.
Minimum Type 2 EPA card.
Acceptable driving record.
Successful completion of new-employee and random drug testing is required.
Proficiency with PC-based computer systems and tablet/smartphone technology.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and details, perform basic mathematical computations, and use measuring tools.
Ability to work skillfully with both hands constantly.
Ability to independently and safely lift and carry up to 25 pounds routinely, 50 pounds frequently, and 80 pounds occasionally.
Ability to climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolds.
