Commercial HVAC Maintenance Mechanic

About The Position

Assist with the maintenance and/or replacement of commercial HVAC systems and electrical components in commercial buildings. The mechanic troubleshoots mechanical and electrical controls, including HVAC systems, PLCs, and other controls and devices; identifies faults and makes timely corrections to return equipment to production; and performs routine maintenance, repairs, and installations of HVAC and electrical components. The position may involve driving a company truck when needed and working assigned schedules.

Requirements

3–5 years of experience in HVAC or general maintenance, or an equivalent combination of vocational training and experience.
Ability to follow specific directions and perform a variety of duties.
Ability to multitask, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, pay attention to detail, and solve problems.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment as a team player.
Physical ability to move heavy equipment and machinery, climb ladders, perform repetitive motions, and walk or stand for extended periods.
Ability to pass a post-offer pre-employment drug screen and any additional required background checks, such as DMV or criminal history checks.
Ability to correctly identify colors in color-coded cables and wires, and adequate close and distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust vision.

Nice To Haves

Prior military experience.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities
