About The Position

This role is responsible for working knowledge of various heating and air conditioning systems including but not limited to Air Handler Units (AHU’s), PTAC units, Fan Coil Units (FCUs), Split Systems, Roof Top Units (RTU’s), Computer Room A/C Units (CRAC), walk-in boxes, reach in’s, ice machines and various other types of refrigeration equipment. Responsibilities include diagnosing, trouble shooting and repairing various HVAC and refrigerant equipment in compliance with safety protocols and standards. The role requires performing preventative maintenance to minimize electrical and mechanical faults which include cleaning, adjusting, and repairing a wide variety of equipment and systems. A comprehensive understanding of low voltage and voltages up to 480V is necessary. The individual will be accountable for maintaining accurate daily logs, readings, and records of all maintenance functions and maintaining a neat and clean working environment out in the field, guestrooms, mechanical rooms, and shop. Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and prints is required. A basic understanding of how water treatment systems work in conjunction with closed and open loop HVAC systems is needed. Having an understanding or knowledge of Building Management Systems either pneumatic or electronic is desirable. The role also promotes positive public relations and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Universal EPA Refrigeration license.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Open availability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to adapt to changes as they arise in workflow, based upon prioritization, delays or unexpected events.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Comprehensive understanding of low voltage and voltages up to 480V.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics and prints.
  • Basic understanding of how water treatment systems work in conjunction with closed and open loop HVAC systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Having an understanding or knowledge of Building Management Systems either pneumatic or electronic is desirable.
  • Prior experience relative to working with chillers, a plus.
