This position requires the ability to sell preventive maintenance programs designed to reduce owning and operating costs to building owners, property managers and senior level executives in commercial, industrial and even institutional buildings. The applicant must be an energetic, focused and persistent self-starter who will continuously generate and follow-up on leads, prepare and present proposals and close business designed to ensure long-term customer satisfaction. The HVAC Maintenance Sales Representative is responsible for identifying, developing, and closing opportunities for commercial HVAC maintenance and service agreements. This individual will build strong relationships with building owners, facility managers, property managers, and other key decision-makers while helping customers protect their HVAC systems, reduce unexpected downtime, and extend equipment life. The ideal candidate is a relationship-driven sales professional with knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and a strong understanding of preventative maintenance and service solutions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in HVAC, mechanical, building services, or related sales.
• Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems and preventative maintenance.
• Proven track record of developing new business and closing sales.
• Experience selling service agreements, maintenance contracts, or other recurring-revenue solutions is strongly preferred.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to understand customer needs and develop appropriate solutions.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently while collaborating with an internal team.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel throughout the Morgantown and surrounding West Virginia markets as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a pipeline of commercial HVAC maintenance and service opportunities.
• Prospect for new customers through cold calling, networking, referrals, site visits, and other business development activities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial building owners, facility managers, property managers, and other decision-makers.
• Identify customer needs and recommend preventative maintenance programs and service solutions.
• Conduct customer visits and equipment assessments to understand existing HVAC systems and maintenance requirements.
• Prepare and present proposals, maintenance agreements, and service solutions tailored to customer needs.
• Follow up on proposals and negotiate contracts through close.
• Develop long-term customer relationships and identify opportunities for additional HVAC services and solutions.
• Work closely with service technicians, project managers, estimators, and operations teams to ensure customer expectations are met.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth implementation and delivery of maintenance agreements.
• Maintain accurate customer, opportunity, and sales activity information within the company's CRM system.
• Meet or exceed established sales and revenue goals.
• Stay informed on commercial HVAC technologies, equipment, maintenance practices, and industry trends.
• Participate in networking events, trade associations, customer meetings, and other activities that generate new business.
• Provide excellent customer service and act as a trusted advisor to customers throughout the sales process and beyond.
