About The Position

Hammond Services is a growing, family-owned and operated business serving the South Metro Atlanta area since 1979. We are a well-established and respected Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, and Electrical company seeking qualified HVAC installers who want to grow with us. We pride ourselves on quality work and are looking for individuals who share that commitment.

Requirements

  • At least 5+ years of HVAC residential and/or light commercial install field experience required.
  • At least 2 years of HVAC crew leadership experience.
  • Extensive experience in low & high voltage wiring.
  • Obtain the appropriate certifications (EPA Type I, II, III or Universal).
  • Have a valid driver’s license and meet auto insurance requirements (minimum age to drive 22 years old).
  • Be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check.
  • Effectively manage call volume and day-to-day tasks; be able to work flexible schedules including overtime, as needed.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.

Nice To Haves

  • Other HVAC certifications are a PLUS!

Responsibilities

  • Supervise install crews while completing installations in residential and/or light commercial HVAC units.
  • Interact with salesperson on abnormal circumstances for the job.
  • Communicate with a customer in-person, the job to be performed prior to starting.
  • Perform walk-through inspection of the job site and consult work order requirements.
  • Remove and replace all equipment while protecting the customer’s property.
  • Perform minor carpentry work (moldings, platforms, doors, attic access, etc.).
  • Install, modify, or repair air ducts, indoor units, and outdoor units.
  • Braze and solder various metals to connect piping.
  • Disassemble indoor or outdoor units and replace defective parts.
  • Maintain the required tool list for the position.
  • Electrical work to code when required.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, and written technical documents.
  • Use of software to report work completed and collect customer payments (COD).
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines when working with HVAC equipment.
  • Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
