We are looking for experienced Lead HVAC Installers who excel in customer service, are great problem solvers, thrive in a challenging environment, are positive team players, and are self-motivated. Our Lead HVAC Installers are responsible for successfully installing air conditioners, furnaces, duct systems, heat pumps, and accessories (air filters, thermostats, etc.) for A.B. May’s residential customers. This includes applying technical expertise, leading a team, and maintaining strong communication with customers throughout the installation process. All of our technicians must follow our safety policies and procedures and uphold our high standards of quality. Candidates must have at least three or more years of Lead Install experience and a proven ability to meet and exceed customer expectations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Lead HVAC Installer.
  • Proficiency in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining HVAC systems (air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, and ductwork).
  • HVAC certification and/or relevant technical training (EPA Certification, NATE certification, etc.).
  • Clean driving record required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to exceed customer expectations by providing excellent service and fostering positive relationships.
  • Ability to lead and work with a team to ensure high-quality installations

Responsibilities

  • Successfully install air conditioners, furnaces, duct systems, heat pumps, and accessories (air filters, thermostats, etc.) for residential customers.
  • Supervise, mentor, and train HVAC installers and apprentices, ensuring high-quality and efficient installation of HVAC systems.
  • Maintain clear and ongoing communication with customers throughout the installation process, ensuring satisfaction and answering questions as needed.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures during installations and ensure adherence to local building codes and regulations.
  • Test and inspect HVAC systems after installation to ensure they function properly.
  • Address any issues that arise during installation or testing, providing solutions and adjustments as needed.
  • Ensure that all tools and equipment are in working order and well-maintained.
