About The Position

The HVAC Inventory and Parts Manager oversees warehouse operations and inventory systems to ensure technicians and service teams have the parts and materials they need. This role manages purchasing, receiving, inventory accuracy, and warehouse organization to support efficient service operations.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of inventory or warehouse experience; experience in an HVAC service environment and/or supply chain/purchasing preferred
  • Knowledge of HVAC parts and equipment preferred
  • Experience with inventory or ERP software
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and operate warehouse equipment
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • OSHA safety training preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory within the inventory management system
  • Perform cycle counts and annual inventory audits
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Maintain proper stock levels for commonly used HVAC parts
  • Track serialized and high-value equipment
  • Purchase HVAC parts, materials, tools, and equipment
  • Maintain vendor relationships and monitor pricing and delivery
  • Track lead times and help prevent stock shortages
  • Review purchase orders for accuracy
  • Receive and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders
  • Inspect materials for damage or discrepancies
  • Allocate parts to technicians, service calls, and projects
  • Track special orders and backordered items
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse
  • Label and store parts in designated locations
  • Implement OSHA-compliant storage procedures
  • Develop bin locations and standardized layout systems
  • Track tools and equipment used by technicians
  • Work with Service Managers, Dispatchers, and Technicians to ensure parts availability
  • Assist technicians with part identification and alternatives
  • Stage materials for scheduled jobs
  • Maintain technician truck stock and replenishment systems
