About The Position

This position focuses on commercial retrofit HVAC work for an upcoming project in Aspen, Colorado. The work involves upgrading and replacing existing building systems, including HVAC equipment, to improve energy efficiency, meet code requirements, and improve overall performance. After the project is complete, the person in this role will join the UT Install Team. The installer removes and replaces commercial heating and cooling equipment, installs modern HVAC systems and building controls, performs low-voltage control wiring and rough-in work, and assists with light sheet metal fabrication and installation. The role requires following applicable codes and regulations, communicating with customers on-site, and working with crew members to keep projects on schedule and meet customer expectations.

Requirements

At least 2 years of hands-on HVAC experience.
Willingness to work in Aspen, Colorado, on a longer-term project.
Proficiency with VRF systems and commercial work.
Ability to read blueprints, mechanical drawings, and manufacturer documentation.
Physical capability to climb ladders, lift heavy equipment, and work in confined spaces.
Solid troubleshooting instincts when installation challenges arise.

Nice To Haves

EPA Universal certification.
OSHA 10 certification.

Responsibilities

Remove and replace commercial heating and cooling equipment, including furnaces, air conditioners, chillers, and rooftop package units.
Install Variable Air Volume (VAV) and Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) equipment, along with advanced building controls.
Run low-voltage control wiring and complete rough-in work.
Assist with light sheet metal fabrication and installation as needed.
Follow applicable federal, state, and local codes and regulations.
Communicate with customers on-site to answer questions and explain work being performed.
Work alongside crew members to keep projects on schedule and meet customer expectations.
