About The Position
The HVAC Installation & Repair Supervisor provides repair, maintenance, and service for HVAC systems in accordance with building codes and standards. The supervisor conducts routine inspections, plans and purchases supplies to maintain inventory, and responds to work requests in a timely manner using a Total Maintenance System (TMS). The role supervises inmate workers performing facility installation, maintenance, and repair work and may respond to emergency service callbacks on a rotating basis. The position may also assist other Building and Grounds functions, including preventive maintenance, construction projects, equipment repair, electrical work, welding, carpentry, electronics, and outside maintenance.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of HVAC installation, repair, and maintenance practices.
- Demonstrated skill in using tools and supplies related to the trade.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise the work of others.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain narrative and statistical records relating to equipment maintenance and repair.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of web-based HVAC control systems.
- Knowledge of mini-split systems, split systems, and package units.
- Skill in using Microsoft Office programs and Gmail, or preventive maintenance programs.
- Knowledge and experience in multiple trades.
