About The Position

The HVAC Installation & Repair Supervisor provides repair, maintenance, and service for HVAC systems in accordance with building codes and standards. The role conducts routine inspections, plans and purchases inventory, and responds promptly to work requests in a Total Maintenance System (TMS). It supervises inmate workers performing facility installation, maintenance, and repair work. The supervisor may respond to emergency service callbacks on a rotating basis and may assist with other Building and Grounds duties, including preventative maintenance, construction projects, equipment repair, electrical work, welding, carpentry, electronics, and outside maintenance.

The position is located at Indian Creek Correctional Center. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and working knowledge of HVAC installation, repair, and maintenance practices, along with the ability to use trade-related tools and supplies, supervise others, and maintain narrative and statistical equipment-maintenance and repair records.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of HVAC installation, repair, and maintenance practices.
• Demonstrated skill in using tools and supplies related to the trade.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise the work of others.
• Demonstrated ability to keep narrative and statistical records relating to equipment maintenance and repair.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of web-based HVAC control systems.
• Knowledge of mini-split systems, split systems, and package units.
• Skill in using Microsoft Office programs and Gmail, or preventative maintenance programs.
• Knowledge and experience in multiple trades.
