About The Position

McAfee is seeking a motivated HVAC Installation Apprentice in the Dayton area. This is an opportunity for someone interested in learning a skilled trade through hands-on work alongside experienced HVAC installers, with the goal of developing the skills to grow into an HVAC Installation Technician. The position primarily involves residential HVAC system installations in customers’ homes. The apprentice should be comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and conditions and performing physical tasks throughout the day.

Requirements

• Interest in learning the HVAC trade and developing hands-on skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Dependable, hardworking, and comfortable working as part of a team.
• Ability to perform physical work, including lifting equipment and working in different environments.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

• Previous construction, maintenance, warehouse, automotive, or other hands-on experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced technicians with residential HVAC system installations.
• Help install heating and cooling equipment, including furnaces, air conditioners, and related components.
• Load, unload, and organize tools, materials, and equipment.
• Prepare job sites and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Learn to use tools and installation equipment properly.
• Follow instructions and safety procedures while working alongside the installation team.
• Provide professional and courteous service while working in customers’ homes.
