About The Position

Rodenhiser is seeking an HVAC Install Technician to lead all facets of new HVAC system installation from video preview through all the steps in the Install System process. The company has been servicing customers since 1928 and offers advantages such as in-house training, sufficient time for job completion, a supportive network of nearly 100 experienced technicians, and opportunities for advancement. The role involves completing jobs on time and under budget, establishing good customer rapport, working with project managers and install coordinators, communicating with the office staff, maintaining an organized job site and truck, completing follow-up calls, training apprentices, and ensuring accurate paperwork. Requirements

  • EPA certification with knowledge of applicable installation and venting codes.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Successful completion of a certified HVAC installation training program and apprenticeship.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Engaged in further technical development (i.e. Different disciplines and cross training).
  • Ability to explain technical information to non-technical customers.

Nice To Haves

  • Oil burner experience/license a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all facets of new HVAC system installation from video preview through all the steps in the Install System process.
  • Complete jobs on time and under budget, helping achieve the company’s financial goals.
  • Establish good customer rapport to ensure the highest levels of satisfaction.
  • Work with Project Manager and Install Coordinators to ensure completion of jobs.
  • Communicate with Project Manager and office staff on a daily basis.
  • Maintain a clean, organized job site and well inventoried truck.
  • Able to successfully complete follow up calls in current area of expertise.
  • Train and mentor apprentices to facilitate on-time, high-quality installations.
  • Consistent accuracy and timeliness of all paperwork, including checklists, invoices and post-job videos.
  • Participate actively in all department meetings, technical and vendor trainings.
