About The Position
Auburn Heating, Cooling, Electric & Plumbing, a brand of Clarion Home Services Group, is hiring an HVAC Install Lead to install and troubleshoot residential and light commercial HVAC systems in Cleveland, Ohio, and surrounding areas. The role is on-site and field-based, with daily travel to local residential and commercial job sites. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with start and end times varying according to project needs. It is a variable full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, and a minimum number of weekly hours is not guaranteed. Occasional overtime, weekend shifts, and after-hours work may be required. The lead installs air conditioning, heating, control, indoor air quality, humidity, and temperature-control systems; performs system startups and troubleshooting; and builds strong customer relationships. The position also involves maintaining organized job sites and an inventoried truck, completing job documentation accurately and promptly, meeting service and revenue expectations, and participating in training and team activities. Compensation is $40–$50 per hour, with a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 and overtime eligibility. Requirements
- 2–3+ years of residential or light commercial HVAC service/install experience.
- Knowledge of sheet metal practices, air balancing, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with internal teams and homeowners.
- Valid driver's license with an insurable record.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
Nice To Haves
- Journeyman or Master Mechanical license.
Responsibilities
- Install air conditioning, heating, control, indoor air quality, humidity, and temperature-control systems.
- Perform startups and troubleshoot a variety of residential HVAC systems.
- Build strong customer relationships by understanding and addressing new and existing customer needs and expectations.
- Understand service criteria and be accountable for exceeding revenue goals.
- Maintain a clean, organized job site and a well-inventoried truck.
- Complete invoices, timecards, curbside feedback, and option sheets accurately and on time.
- Participate in training exercises, continued education, morning meetings, trade shows, and retreats.
