About The Position

This position will take direction from the Superintendent to see projects through to completion while independently managing day-to-day field activities. The HVAC Foreman is responsible for understanding, upholding, and promoting the Everus 4EVER Strategy (Employees | Value | Execution | Relationships).

Requirements

1+ years of experience in HVAC duct installation and sheet metal work, preferably in an industrial or commercial environment
Proven ability to lead and manage a crew of up to five (5) field personnel
Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems and components including exhaust, supply, return, and outside air systems
Extensive knowledge of duct sizing calculations and field fabrication of offsets and duct layouts
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and shop drawings
Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate with General Contractors, inspectors, clients, and internal project management
Ability to plan and manage material and consumable orders five (5) or more days in advance
OSHA 30 safety certification required
Experience conducting safety toolbox talks and enforcing jobsite safety standards

Responsibilities

Take direction from the Superintendent to see projects through to completion while independently managing day-to-day field activities
Install sheet metal ductwork and assist with general work activities to complete project tasks
Assemble material to complete the final product and assist with complex layout activities
Install ductwork for preconstruction projects
Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and shop drawings to determine the sequence and methods of assembling and installing sheet metal products
Lay out and mark dimensions and reference lines on material to develop and trace patterns of product or parts
Store and maintain sheet metal products as required by quality manual
Plan the installation sequence to avoid obstructions and inspect the jobsite to ensure structural integrity
Perform duct testing and standard QC of duct installation
Lead and be responsible for a crew of up to five (5); ensure crew safety and meet all safety requirements set forth by the Company and General Contractor
Stay five (5) days ahead of work activities with material and consumable orders
Coordinate with Superintendent and Project Managers so materials can be ordered in a timely manner
Maintain direct communication with General Contractors, inspectors, and clients
Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems and components (Exhaust, Supply, Return, Outside Air)
Extensive knowledge of duct sizing calculations
Able to field fabricate standard offsets and duct layouts; able to communicate with the Fabrication Shop on what needs to be fabricated with little or no direction
Operate most aerial work platforms and mobile site equipment
Hold weekly safety toolbox talks with crew
Adhere to all safety regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following OSHA guidelines
