We are looking for an experienced Field Service Supervisor to lead our commercial HVAC service operations. In this role, you will own the day-to-day performance of a team of service technicians, drive exceptional customer outcomes, and serve as a technical authority on complex commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who takes pride in both the technical craft and the development of the people around them.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in commercial HVAC, refrigeration, or a related mechanical trade
  • Demonstrated experience supervising or leading field technicians
  • EPA 608 Universal certification (required)
  • Strong working knowledge of commercial rooftop units, chillers, VAV systems, VRF, and building automation interfaces
  • Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment submittals
  • Excellent communication skills — able to translate technical issues for non-technical customers
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Experience with service management software (ServiceTitan or similar)

  • Experience with service agreement sales and customer retention (a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, schedule, and mentor a team of commercial HVAC service technicians across assigned accounts and territories
  • Conduct job site visits to ensure quality workmanship, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction on service calls and preventive maintenance agreements
  • Serve as the technical escalation point for complex diagnostics on commercial rooftop units, chillers, air handlers, VRF systems, and commercial refrigeration
  • Partner with the service manager to manage parts inventory, fleet utilization, and on-call scheduling
  • Lead performance conversations, on-the-job coaching sessions, and skills assessments for direct reports
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial property managers, facility directors, and general contractors
  • Review and approve service documentation, time cards, and job completion reports for accuracy and compliance
  • Support estimating and quoting on service agreements, repair proposals, and equipment replacement projects
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with local codes, OSHA standards, and company safety policies
  • Identify opportunities to grow service revenue through proactive recommendations and maintenance agreement expansion
