ASRC Federal NetCentric is hiring an HVAC/Environmental Control Mechanic at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. This role involves independently maintaining, modifying, troubleshooting, repairing, adjusting, calibrating, validating, certifying, testing, and operating domestic and industrial year-round air conditioning and heating units, including chillers and cooling towers. Responsibilities include removing and replacing system components, maintaining internal electrical circuitry, recovering and replenishing lubricants and refrigerants, connecting various gauges and controls, and testing units to meet specifications. The mechanic will perform assigned tasks based on maintenance procedures, vendor documents, blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and applicable codes. They will use testing equipment to make control adjustments and perform minor insulation work. The role may involve operating gas welding equipment for cutting, burning, and soldering, as well as maintaining logs and records. Maintaining required certifications, licenses, and permits is essential. The position may also include work in other classifications when incidental to primary duties, managing hazardous materials, and supporting natural disaster preparation and recovery efforts, including hurricane preparedness. Work must be performed in compliance with all Federal, State, local, NASA, and Air Force laws, regulations, and requirements, including energy management, conservation, security, and safety programs.
