About The Position

Conducts experiments, tests, and assembles prototypes, analyzes data to support the development and improvement of products. This role involves providing technical support to engineers and other team members in research, development, testing, and maintenance activities. The technician will conduct complex tests, experiments, and validation procedures on equipment, systems, and components, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and compliance with specifications. They will analyze and interpret test data, identifying trends, anomalies, and correlations to provide actionable insights and recommendations to the engineering team. Advanced troubleshooting techniques will be used to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues. The role also includes managing and maintaining advanced technical equipment, instrumentation, and laboratory facilities, and preparing detailed technical reports, documentation, and presentations. Implementing and maintaining quality control procedures and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams are also key aspects of this position. Identifying opportunities for process improvements, efficiency enhancements, and cost savings is expected. The ability to locate diagrams and drawings independently within the AAON database is required.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in HVAC
  • EPA 608 certification
  • A2L certification
  • Two-year HVAC degree from a technical school
  • Recommended 4-6 years in the HVAC industry or equivalent experience in a similar industry.
  • Demonstrates leadership abilities.
  • Communicates effectively in written and spoken form.
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Possesses excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Exhibits good decision making and analytical problem solving abilities.
  • Demonstrates strong multi-tasking capabilities and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Provide technical support to engineers and other team members in research, development, testing, and maintenance activities.

  • Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation, and presentations summarizing test procedures, results, and conclusions for internal review.
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures and standards throughout the engineering process, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, scientists, technicians, and project managers, fostering a collaborative work environment, and sharing technical expertise.
