Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 2 - 3 + years of experience designing HVAC systems.
  • Working knowledge of Revit / BIM is required.
  • Communication, interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in either commercial, mission critical data centers, or hospitality is a plus.
  • Professional commitment to sustainability, LEED accreditation is a plus.
  • Willingness to pursue a PE license, EIT a plus.
  • CFD modeling is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Helping with the technical development of HVAC systems for large and complex projects Mission Critical and Commercial sector.
  • Utilize Revit in producing drawings for ductwork, water side distribution systems and equipment as required.
  • Assuring tasks are complete, accurate and in accordance with good engineering practices.
  • Research equipment selections and perform related calculations regarding airflow and water systems.
  • Knowledge and experience with calculations, equipment selection, ductwork layout, piping layout and construction documents (CFD modeling is a plus).
  • Attend field visits, meet with clients and vendors.
  • General coordination of specific design aspects into a project.
  • Work closely on multi-discipline projects, with mechanical, electrical etc.
