About The Position

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced HVAC mechanic to join their growing North America HVAC business. This role involves supporting critical environments such as hospitals, data centers, and manufacturing facilities. The role also involves serving as a trusted expert to customers, diagnosing issues, explaining solutions, and ensuring system efficiency and reliability. Collaboration with a team of professionals, knowledge sharing, and supporting apprentices are also key aspects of the position. Requirements

Willingness to travel 50-75% of the time
Several years of experience working on commercial or industrial systems
Comfortable troubleshooting a range of equipment, including chillers, boilers, pumps, compressors, and related systems
Deep understanding of mechanical systems, including alignment and vibration diagnostics
Ability to clearly communicate technical information to teammates and customers
Desire to keep learning and sharing knowledge
Universal EPA refrigerant license
Open to travel as needed
Participation in the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices
Subject to all pre-hiring screening of JCI

Nice To Haves

Experience with building automation technologies
Interest in developing quoting or customer-facing skills

Responsibilities

Troubleshooting and repairs on advanced commercial HVAC systems
