About The Position

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced HVAC mechanic to join their growing North America HVAC business. The mechanic will be responsible for a wide range of equipment including chillers, compressors, pumps, rooftop units, and building automation systems, utilizing modern tools like laser alignment and vibration analysis. The role also involves serving as a trusted expert to customers, diagnosing issues, explaining solutions, and ensuring system efficiency and reliability. Collaboration with a team of professionals, knowledge sharing, and supporting apprentices are also key aspects of the position. Requirements

  • Willingness to travel 50-75% of the time
  • Several years of experience working on commercial or industrial systems
  • Comfortable troubleshooting a range of equipment, including chillers, boilers, pumps, compressors, and related systems
  • Deep understanding of mechanical systems, including alignment and vibration diagnostics
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical information to teammates and customers
  • Desire to keep learning and sharing knowledge
  • Universal EPA refrigerant license
  • Open to travel as needed
  • Participation in the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices
  • Subject to all pre-hiring screening of JCI
