About The Position

Our client is seeking to fill the position of HVAC Controls Estimator to focus on Commercial and Federal markets.

Requirements

• 2-3 years' experience in estimating HVAC Controls projects preferred
• Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
• Prior HVAC Controls field experience is preferred
• Experience in reading and understanding construction specification plans
• Must be able to travel up to 35% of the time.
• Must be able to pass a federal government background check.
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in windows suite of products
• Experience in CAD, Visio or Bluebeam

Responsibilities

• Responsible for developing price estimates for materials and labor for HVAC controls projects.
• Coordinate bids from customers
• Work alongside project design team to learn and apply technologies to meet specified scope.
• Write detailed proposals that accomplish the specifications, scope of work, plans, drawings and sequence of operation
• Coordinate with Sales and Account managers and attend site visits, pre-bid conferences.
• Work with the design team to perform take-offs
• Conduct weekly bid board meetings coordinated with sales, engineering, operations and leadership
• Responsible for estimating price for materials and labor for projects
• Identify cost savings opportunities for bids
