This role provides technical support for Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) projects, focusing on HVAC system optimization, operational performance, and verification of energy savings. Projects are typically complex, multi-building or multi-campus portfolios in higher education and healthcare, with substantial mechanical infrastructure and advanced integrated control strategies. The role works with engineering and commissioning teams to assess existing building automation system (BAS) architecture, troubleshoot performance issues, and deploy HVAC sequences of operation across air and hydronic systems. Work includes site assessments, trend-data analysis, development and modification of DDC logic, sequence validation, functional testing, and ongoing optimization. The analyst applies advanced HVAC, BAS, networked-controls, and energy-conservation knowledge to translate engineering intent into effective control logic, lead complex troubleshooting, and implement scalable approaches that support measurable energy savings and improved building performance. The position requires collaboration across multidisciplinary project teams, maintaining quality and execution standards, monitoring energy performance, and addressing issues that could affect project outcomes. Travel to job sites or office locations is expected 30%–40% of the time. The work combines an office environment with site-survey conditions, which may include external weather, loud noise, poorly accessible and confined spaces, and ascending or descending ladders.
