This role is a technical resource for Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) projects, focused on HVAC system optimization, operational performance, and verification of energy savings. Projects are typically complex, multi-building or multi-campus portfolios in higher education and healthcare environments, with substantial mechanical infrastructure and integrated control strategies. The position works with engineering and commissioning teams to evaluate building automation system (BAS) architecture, troubleshoot system performance, and deploy advanced HVAC sequences of operation for air and hydronic systems. Work includes site assessments, trend-data analysis, developing and modifying direct digital control (DDC) logic, validating sequence implementation, functional testing, and ongoing optimization. The successful candidate brings advanced knowledge of HVAC systems, BAS platforms, networked controls, and energy conservation measures, with an emphasis on high-performance building operations. The role translates engineering intent into effective control logic, leads complex troubleshooting, and implements programming approaches that support repeatable energy savings. It requires analytical and problem-solving ability, experience with retro-commissioning and HVAC optimization, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams to improve operational performance.
