Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field required.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of progressive field sales experience.
  • Experience selling HVAC, BAS/BMS, controls, service, or projects.
  • Demonstrated success with consulting engineers and mechanical contractors.
  • Ability to read plans, specifications, control diagrams, and sequences of operation.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence account decision makers.

Responsibilities

  • Driving sales of Johnson Controls Building Automation Systems, Controls solutions, and retrofit opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Focusing on technical consultative selling.
  • Increasing specification influence with consulting engineers.
  • Supporting mechanical contractors through the design and construction process.
  • Developing long-term relationships with building owners and facility decision makers.
  • Build relationships with consulting engineers, mechanical contractors, building owners, and facility leaders.
  • Increase specification presence through technical guidance and solution recommendations.
  • Support new construction, retrofit, and modernization projects.
  • Influence controls architecture, integration strategies, and sequences of operation.
  • Conduct presentations, lunch-and-learns, product demonstrations, and technical reviews.
  • Develop scopes of work, budget pricing, and proposal content.
  • Provide expertise in DDC systems, BMS architecture, BACnet, Modbus, HVAC integration, and commissioning.
  • Partner with equipment, operations, project management, and service teams.
  • Maintain a disciplined sales pipeline and accurate forecasting.
