About The Position

Neffsville Plumbing, Heating & Cooling is seeking an experienced, results-driven HVAC Home Comfort Advisor to join our growing team in Lancaster, PA. As a Home Comfort Advisor, you will meet directly with homeowners to understand their heating and cooling needs and recommend HVAC solutions that best fit their home, comfort goals, and budget. You'll guide customers through the entire sales process, prepare accurate proposals, and work closely with our installation and operations teams to create a seamless experience from the initial consultation through installation. We're looking for a confident, consultative sales professional who knows how to build trust, uncover customer needs, and help homeowners make informed decisions about one of the most important investments in their home. This is a 100% commission-based W-2 position with uncapped earning potential.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years of sales experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport, establish trust, and close sales.
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working in a commission-based environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with installation and operations teams.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends based on customer appointment needs.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as an HVAC Comfort Advisor, Home Comfort Advisor, HVAC Sales Consultant, or Residential Sales Consultant.
  • Residential HVAC sales experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience selling HVAC equipment, plumbing services, home improvements, or other residential home-services solutions.
  • Familiarity with residential HVAC systems, equipment sizing, and installation requirements.
  • Experience preparing proposals and coordinating sold work with installation teams.
  • Proven success in a performance-driven, commission-based sales environment.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with homeowners throughout the Lancaster service area to assess their heating and cooling needs and recommend appropriate HVAC solutions.
  • Build rapport, establish trust, and create an exceptional customer experience.
  • Present HVAC equipment and system options in a clear, consultative manner.
  • Explain product features, benefits, financing options, available promotions, and pricing.
  • Prepare detailed sales proposals and guide homeowners through the purchasing process.
  • Negotiate and close sales while maintaining a customer-first approach.
  • Maintain current knowledge of HVAC products, promotions, financing programs, and industry trends.
  • Take accurate measurements and document installation requirements.
  • Prepare complete material lists and job details to support efficient installations.
  • Ensure proposals contain the information needed for a smooth transition from sale to installation.
  • Partner closely with the Parts Team, Installation Coordinator, and installation crews.
  • Communicate customer expectations and job requirements clearly to operational teams.
  • Help address questions and resolve issues throughout the sales-to-installation process.
  • Meet or exceed individual sales, conversion, and revenue goals.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, proposals, and sales documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to increase sales and strengthen Neffsville's presence throughout the Lancaster market.
  • Develop a strong understanding of homeowner needs and opportunities within the assigned service area.
  • Collaborate with leadership, technicians, installers, and customer service teams to continuously improve the customer experience.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
