About The Position

At Beacon, we've built a team that sets a high standard and we're looking for someone who can help homeowners make confident decisions about one of the biggest investments in their home. We're seeking an experienced HVAC Equipment Specialist with 4–5 years of residential HVAC experience to help homeowners throughout our Northern Virginia service area determine when repair is no longer the best option and guide them through choosing the right replacement system. We’re looking for an HVAC professional first and a salesperson second. This isn't a cold-calling sales position. You'll meet with homeowners who already need solutions, educate them on their options, and build trust through your knowledge and professionalism. Success in this role comes from understanding HVAC systems, listening to homeowners' needs, and presenting solutions that truly fit their home and budget. Requirements

  • Minimum 4–5 years of residential HVAC experience
  • Strong understanding of residential HVAC equipment, installation practices, and replacement options
  • Proven ability to build trust and close full system replacement opportunities
  • Must own and maintain tools required to perform the essential functions of the role
  • Excellent communication and in-home presentation skills
  • Ability to explain technical information in a way homeowners understand
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Comfortable using technology (ServiceTitan, iPad, financing platforms, mobile applications)
  • Clean driving record and ability to maintain safe driving practices
  • Clear background check and ability to pass a drug test

Responsibilities

  • Meet with homeowners to evaluate HVAC replacement opportunities
  • Perform in-home equipment evaluations and recommend the best solutions for each home
  • Present system options, equipment features, warranties, and financing solutions
  • Educate homeowners on energy efficiency, comfort improvements, and long-term value
  • Build trust by providing honest, solution-focused recommendations
  • Prepare accurate proposals and close replacement sales
  • Coordinate with the installation team to ensure a seamless customer experience
  • Maintain accurate documentation within ServiceTitan
  • Follow up with customers as needed throughout the sales process
  • Represent Beacon professionally while delivering a five-star customer experience
