About The Position

The Sales Outfitter provides counter sales and customer service for non-firearm hunting and archery merchandise, as well as sales and customer service for floor merchandise. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by greeting customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing information, assistance, and direction.

The position involves assessing customer needs, recommending products, promoting programs such as CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup, and demonstrating products. The Sales Outfitter also organizes and replenishes merchandise, maintains product knowledge and accurate pricing and signage, assists with seasonal floor moves, and keeps the work area clean and stocked. Duties are performed under general supervision, with occasional independent judgment and recommendations regarding procedures, policies, and practices. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of retail experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Customer service and sales knowledge related to non-firearm hunting and archery merchandise.
• GCA.
• Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Provide counter sales and customer service for non-firearm hunting and archery merchandise.
• Greet and acknowledge customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handle merchandise with care, and provide information, assistance, and direction.
• Identify and evaluate customer needs and make product recommendations.
• Promote programs including CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Organize and maintain hunting and archery merchandise for sale at the non-firearm gun counter.
• Replenish products on shelves according to merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
• Stay knowledgeable about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
