Hunting Sales Outfitter - Part Time
About The Position
The Hunting Sales Outfitter provides counter sales and customer service for non-firearms Hunting/Archery merchandise. The role supports customers on the sales floor by greeting them promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing information, assistance, and direction. The position contributes to a pleasant and productive shopping experience by identifying customer needs, recommending products, promoting store programs, and demonstrating merchandise. It also involves maintaining and replenishing merchandise, staying current on product knowledge and advertised sales, and keeping the work area clean, organized, and stocked. The role is part time and works under general supervision, following established procedures while occasionally using independent judgment to resolve problems and recommend improvements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 0–2 years of retail experience.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Customer service and sales knowledge for non-firearms Hunting/Archery merchandise.
- GCA knowledge.
- Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.
- Ability to stand and/or walk constantly during the shift.
- Ability to move objects up to 20 pounds constantly and occasionally lift or move objects up to 100 pounds or more using a team lift as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, prompt customer service and support a productive shopping experience.
- Identify customer needs and recommend products based on those needs.
- Promote programs, including CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
- Demonstrate products to customers.
- Organize and maintain non-firearms Hunting/Archery merchandise at the sales counter and on the sales floor.
- Replenish merchandise on shelves according to merchandising guidelines.
- Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
- Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
- Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
- Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
- Follow company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
