About The Position

The Hunting Sales Outfitter provides counter sales and customer service for non-firearms Hunting/Archery merchandise. The role assists customers with floor merchandise and supports a pleasant, productive shopping experience by greeting customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise carefully, and providing information, assistance, and direction.

The position includes evaluating customer needs and recommending products, promoting programs such as CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup, demonstrating products, organizing and replenishing merchandise, maintaining product knowledge, and keeping pricing and signage current. The Outfitter also assists with seasonal floor merchandise moves, maintains a clean and stocked work area, and follows company policies and procedures. Other duties may be assigned. Work is performed under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment and recommendations about work practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of retail experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Customer service and sales skills for non-firearms Hunting/Archery merchandise.
• Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements described, including standing or walking constantly and moving objects up to 20 pounds constantly; objects up to 100 pounds or more may occasionally be moved with a team lift as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide counter sales and customer service for non-firearms Hunting/Archery merchandise.
• Support a pleasant and productive shopping experience and deliver a positive customer experience.
• Identify and evaluate customer needs and make product recommendations.
• Promote programs including CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Organize and maintain merchandise in the retail store for sales at the non-firearms gun counter.
• Replenish merchandise on shelves according to merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
