These TAs work with struggling students, free the faculty from some course details and grading, and run review sessions. In order to do this effectively, TAs must attend Humanities lectures. The TAs are expected to attend either C or E mod lectures. Keep this in mind as you consider your course schedule for next semester. They should also plan on attending the weekly faculty team meetings. The TAs meet with the Humanities faculty team weekly to share in planning lectures, papers, tests, and upcoming Humanities events. They work an average of 3-4 hours per week over the entire semester (sometimes more, sometimes less). We are looking for a mix of skills in the Humanities TAs, to include some of the following: good general grasp of the course material, good interpersonal interaction skills, ability and interest in helping students (especially with writing), ability to maintain confidentiality of both the faculty and students, reliability about deadlines and responsibilities, creative computing abilities.
