About The Position

The Human Services Licensing Representative position with the Bureau of Human Services Licensing offers a chance to support the safety and quality of assisted living services. Requirements

  • Two years of professional experience gathering and analyzing information in a social service or law enforcement program, and a bachelor’s degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • You must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Central Region which includes counties Somerset, Cambria, Blair, Bedford, Huntingdon, Fulton, Franklin, Mifflin, Juniata, Perry, Cumberland, Adams, Dauphin, York, Lebanon, and Lancaster.
  • You must meet the PA residency requirement.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Examine licensure application materials submitted by assisted living providers
  • Conduct on-site reviews of buildings and records to assess compliance
  • Recommend approval, renewal, or revocation decisions based on established guidelines
  • Assist agencies and individuals with licensing processes and regulatory questions
  • Analyze incidents and determine corrective actions or sanctions when needed
  • Exchange information with state and local officials about requirements and standards
