The Human Services Licensing Representative position with the Bureau of Human Services Licensing offers a chance to support safe and secure living environments across the region. Requirements

• Two years of professional experience gathering and analyzing information in a social service or law enforcement program, and a bachelor’s degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
• You must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Northeast Region which includes Berks, Bradford, Cameron, Carbon, Clinton, Centre, Columbia, Lackawanna, Lehigh, Luzerne, Lycoming, Monroe, Montour, Northampton, Northumberland, Pike, Potter, Schuylkill, Snyder, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga, Union, Wayne, or Wyoming counties.
• You must meet the PA residency requirement.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial and ongoing inspections of personal care homes and assisted living residences to determine adherence to state laws and regulations
• Investigate complaints and incidents to assess facts and verify compliance with regulatory requirements
• Interview residents, staff, families, and officials to collect details related to licensing inspections
• Examine medical, legal, and program documents to identify compliance issues and support inspection findings
• Provide guidance to operators and staff to help them understand and meet state regulations
• Recommend licensing or corrective actions based on inspection results and professional judgment
