Requirements

  • Two years of professional experience gathering and analyzing information in a social service or law enforcement program, and a bachelor’s degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • You must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Southwest Region which includes Allegheny, Fayette, Greene and Washington counties.
  • You must meet the PA residency requirement.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent inspections of personal care homes and assisted living residences to assess compliance with state laws and regulations
  • Investigate complaints and incidents by gathering facts and determining regulatory compliance
  • Examine medical, legal, and program documents to evaluate adherence to licensing requirements
  • Provide advice to facility operators regarding compliance with statutes, policies, and procedures
  • Assist in the safe relocation of residents from noncompliant homes by coordinating needs, belongings, and transportation
  • Recommend licensing and enforcement actions based on inspection findings and professional judgment
