The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking a Human Services Enforcement Agent. This role involves investigative and protective services work focused on locating non-custodial parents, establishing, enforcing, and collecting child support obligations, and establishing paternity. The position is with the Office for Family Independence, Division of Support Enforcement & Recovery (DSER), which is responsible for ensuring non-custodial parents contribute to their children's financial support. This includes establishing paternity, locating non-custodial parents, establishing and enforcing child support orders, and representing the Department in Maine District Court. This position requires occasional travel and allows for partial telework after an initial training period, subject to management approval based on operational needs.
