About The Position

The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DOTI) is seeking full-time Parking Enforcement Agents. We are looking for dedicated, detail-oriented individuals who excel in customer service and enjoy working in a dynamic, outdoor environment. This role makes a tangible impact on the community by helping to keep the city safe, accessible, and efficient. Parking Enforcement Agents administer vehicle towing for the City and provide parking enforcement for sporting and other special events. They act as ambassadors for the City of Denver to visitors and citizens, enforcing compliance with parking regulations through the issuance of citations for violations of the revised municipal code, as well as other laws, rules and regulations governing parking. This role requires walking 10-15 miles per day and/or operating a City Vehicle in all weather conditions, and interacting with the public while remaining courteous and calm. Extensive training will be provided.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate.
  • One (1) year of public contact experience providing information and relating rules, codes, regulations, and procedures.
  • Valid Driver's License at the time of application.
  • Must obtain a Code Enforcement Commission Certification from the Executive Director of Safety's Office.

  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and deescalate tense situations.
  • Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or code enforcement.
  • Experience working independently without direct supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Issue citations for on-street, off-street, and private property parking violations.
  • Administer vehicle towing for the City.
  • Provide parking enforcement for sporting and other special events.
  • Act as an ambassador of the City of Denver to visitors and citizens.
  • Enforce compliance with parking regulations through the issuance of citations.
  • Walk 10 - 15 miles per day and/or operate a City Vehicle in all weather conditions and issuing parking tickets.
  • Deal with the public and remain courteous and calm while providing great customer service.
