This position involves investigative and protective services work focused on locating non-custodial parents, establishing, enforcing, and collecting child support obligations, and establishing paternity for children born out of wedlock. The role includes initiating administrative collection actions, pursuing court action, and representing the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) in Maine District Court regarding child support matters. The position is located in Portland and allows for partial telework with management approval. The Office for Family Independence, Division of Support Enforcement & Recovery (DSER) is responsible for ensuring non-custodial parents contribute to their children's financial support.
