The incumbent works under the supervision of Business Manager II and is responsible for processing Medicaid applications to meet the individual needs of residents. Interviews residents, reviews records, and confers with other professionals to assist with financial needs. Demonstrate strong auditing, investigative, research, and organizational skills, as well as having up-to-date knowledge of the Florida Medicaid program and be able to accurately apply software programs needed to complete investigations and audits. Process information with HMO or third-party insurance for Medicare and Medicaid. Assist in filling out applications for insurance. Maintains resident related databases and clinical records as requested. Meets all governmental requirements for social service documentation. Assist in application process for new admissions. Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.
