About The Position

This is a highly responsible regional position focused on communicable disease prevention efforts for eight counties. This role involves managing testing availability, providing training opportunities, ensuring adherence to state standards, overseeing the registration of new testing sites, conducting site visits for compliance, ensuring adequate prevention resources, serving as the primary contact for outreach events, training staff on data systems, developing MOUs, and acting as a liaison between testing providers and the State Health Office. Additionally, the position facilitates local implementation of statewide initiatives, participates in community planning and strategic planning, oversees program outcomes and indicators, monitors performance, and serves as a subject matter expert for assigned counties.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining a system of locations and times that testing is available.
  • Ensuring that opportunities for training and classes are provided throughout their jurisdictional area.
  • Provides opportunities for training and classes throughout their jurisdictional area for the provision of testing.
  • Ensures adherence to state standards and guidelines establishing consistency across the state for testing.
  • Responsible for the registration process for new testing sites.
  • Conducts site visits to ensure testing site compliance with Florida Statutes and FDOH guidelines.
  • Responsible for ensuring adequate amounts of prevention resources are available in the communities.
  • Serves as the primary contact to determine and oversee outreach events planned for national days of observance, testing days, holidays and other festivals and events.
  • Responsible for the training and development of staff using the Counseling, Testing, and Linkage System (CTLS) for collection, storage, and organization of testing data.
  • Develops and executes Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) between the local CHD and registered test sites.
  • Serves as liaison between the testing provider and the State Health Office.
  • Facilitate local implementation of statewide initiatives, linkage to care, re-engagement.
  • Participate in the statewide and local community planning group.
  • Participate in strategic planning at the local level.
  • Oversee outcomes and indicators for the program (monitor & evaluation).
  • Monitor performance indicators for the local CHD and support quality improvement and program evaluation.
  • Primary point of contact for all communication to/from the Section on all program components.
  • Serves as the Community liaison with local community groups and shares relevant communications and attends local community meetings as appropriate.
  • Participates in statewide and/or national meetings, as required by the section and approved locally.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert for assigned counties.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
