About The Position

Provides direct services such as counseling, psychotherapy, education, crisis intervention, and case management. Documents all service-related activities, including time spent per activity per client, mileage accrued, and charting. Participates in supervision, professional development, Quality Improvement, or SCS-wide activities. Incumbents may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Special Education, or Human Services.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited Master’s program in Social Work, Psychology, or Clinical Mental Health Counselor.
• Three to six months of volunteer work or structured, experiential learning (e.g., practicum or learning lab) in field of behavioral health or developmental disabilities.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge of mental health, chemical dependency or developmental disability issues.
• May require driver's license.
