GRADE ASTD12 LOCATION OF POSITION Carrol County Department of Social Services Services 1232 Tech Court Westminster, MD 21157 Main Purpose of Job Support internal and external partnerships while improving customer outcomes. This involves providing administrative support to leadership staff for planning, implementing, and documenting community meetings as well as providing administrative support to the Services division. The role requires possessing and maintaining broad knowledge of the department’s programs, procedures, functions, and policies to ensure a high level of customer service. This includes attending community events to provide agency information, greeting and supporting customers, identifying opportunities for community engagement, and staying familiar with community resources and partners. This position requires strong organization, creativity, and excellent communication and collaboration skills, as well as an understanding of finance regulations for event planning.

Requirements

  • Four years of professional or technical experience in the administration of a human services program or experience conducting studies and analyses of programs, procedures, practices and organizations.
  • Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university may substitute for the required experience.
  • U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Administrative Officer classifications or Administrative Officer specialty codes in the General, Administrative, Clerical, and Office Services job field of work on a year-for-year basis may substitute for the required experience.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience with Google Workspace.
  • One year of experience in customer service.
  • One year of experience providing administrative or clerical support.
  • One year of experience in Family Investment Administration or Social Services Administration.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to Child Welfare and Adult Services Staff.
  • Serves as a community ambassador.
  • Support the Common Customer Initiative and Enhanced Service Delivery throughout the Agency.
