About The Position

This position will provide administrative skills and support in the personnel office, reporting to the Administrative Officer III. The role involves providing technical assistance for merit-based hiring, processing various employment-related actions, maintaining logs and reports, assisting employees, ensuring new employee orientation and training are completed, updating personnel records, and establishing/organizing personnel records. The position also oversees benefits orientation and personnel actions, and requires working independently with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree, typically in Human Resources from an appropriately accredited institution or relevant field and no years of experience required
  • Or High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and 2 years of progressive experience in Human Resources.

Responsibilities

  • Providing technical assistance through the implementation of policy and procedure to the facility in regard to merit-based hiring.
  • Processing employment separations, workers’ compensation, Family Medical Leave, Leave Without Pay, Voluntary Shared Leave, and Employee Relations.
  • Maintaining the Employee OSHA log and yearly report.
  • Assisting employees as needed.
  • Ensuring new employee orientation and ESS training are completed.
  • Updating employees’ personnel records in BEACON.
  • Completing weekly/monthly reports.
  • Establishing, organizing, and maintaining all personnel records.
  • Overseeing benefits orientation, personnel actions, and tasks.
  • Working independently with minimal supervision.
