About The Position

Blue Moon Metals Inc., a publicly listed mining company with headquarters in Toronto, Canada, currently has 5 mining projects in Norway and the United States. The projects Springer in Nevada, Apex in Utah, and Blue Moon in California are making strong progress. Springer, located just outside of Imlay, Nevada, is a historical tungsten mine and processing operation. Development is underway to re-open the mine, commission the existing mill and build a camp on site. The Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading all HR functions for the company’s Springer operations, supporting project development and operational phases. This role will partner closely with site leadership and corporate teams to build a high-performing workforce, ensure compliance with Nevada and U.S. labor laws, and foster a strong organizational culture aligned with global standards. The position plays a critical role in supporting a growing mining operation, requiring both leadership and hands-on execution across all HR disciplines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in mining, construction, energy, or heavy industry
  • Strong knowledge of Nevada and U.S. labour laws and regulations
  • Proven experience supporting large-scale projects or rapidly growing organizations
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to operate and pivot in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and cultural awareness
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities

  • Experience working in remote or site-based environments is highly desirable

Responsibilities

  • Develop and/or implement HR strategies aligned with corporate objectives and local operational needs
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management
  • Support the transition from project phase to steady-state operations
  • Manage budget responsibility for HR-related costs
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure end-to-end recruitment processes for technical, operational, and admin roles
  • Build local and international talent pipelines for a remote and specialized workforce
  • Promote employer branding in Nevada through partnerships with universities, trade schools, and industry networks
  • Ensure compliance with local and federal labor legislation, collective agreements, and regulatory requirements
  • Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and investigations
  • Act as liaison with unions, employee representatives, and external stakeholders
  • Implement performance management systems and succession planning processes
  • Identify competency gaps and lead training and development initiatives
  • Support leadership development and coaching programs
  • Oversee compensation structures in line with local market conditions and global frameworks
  • Administer benefits programs, including pension schemes and insurance
  • Ensure accurate HR reporting, data management, and HRIS utilization
  • Collaborate with Health & Safety teams to promote a strong safety culture
  • Support employee wellbeing programs, including mental health and work-life balance initiatives
  • Manage absenteeism and return-to-work programs
  • Support local hiring initiatives and community engagement strategies
  • Contribute to building a positive social license to operate in local communities
  • Represent the company at industry events, job fairs, vocational schools and community forums
