About The Position

Under the direction of the Senior Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Summer Student will support day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment and onboarding activities. This role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment, providing exposure to core HR functions and opportunities to contribute to key projects while building practical skills for a career in Human Resources. This is a term position from May 1, 2026, and ending August 31, 2026

Requirements

  • Previous administrative, office, or customer service experience is considered an asset
  • Exposure to HR processes (recruitment, onboarding, or employee records) is an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
  • Currently enrolled in a Human Resources, Business Administration, or related post-secondary program
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate in a diverse team environment
  • Proactive, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for day-to-day HR operations, including document preparation, filing, and email correspondence
  • Assist with recruitment activities, including job postings, screening coordination, and candidate communication
  • Support onboarding activities by preparing orientation packages and assisting with new hire orientations
  • Maintain accurate and organized employee records and HR documentation in compliance with company policies
  • Contribute to HR projects and initiatives as assigned
