About The Position

Thermo Fisher Scientific's Human Resources (HR) Summer Associate program is a 10-week position designed as a strategic pipeline for future leadership talent. The program runs from June 14, 2027, to August 20, 2027. Exceptional performers may be considered for the full-time Human Resources Graduate Leadership Development Program (HR GLDP) post-graduation. This role requires geographic flexibility and mobility for both the summer assignment and potential future placements. Onsite and in-office work is an essential function of this role. Projects undertaken by Summer Associates will have significant strategic and/or operating importance to the business. Potential project areas include Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Corporate Total Rewards, Employee Relations, and Compensation & Relocation. The program offers an hourly rate between $34.00 - $37.00, dependent on location, and a relocation stipend of $5,000 for students located 50+ miles from the physical work location. Reliable transportation to and from the work location is required.

Requirements

  • Graduate student completing a Master's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or a related field of study between December 2027 – June 2028.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship (current or future) for employment visa status.
  • Must have a reliable mode of transportation to and from the assigned work location.
  • Geographic mobility and flexibility required to pursue internship and future career opportunities.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of work experience post-Undergraduate degree, ideally gained in large, forward-thinking, global organizations.
  • Experience in Life Sciences or STEM-related industry preferred.
  • Proven leadership experience with a track record of influencing others, leading initiatives, driving results, and creating positive impact within teams and organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt to changing priorities, and solve complex problems.
  • Evidence of grit, resilience, and perseverance when facing challenges, setbacks, or competing priorities.
