About The Position

The Human Resources Specialist will be responsible for conducting recruitment for exempt and non-exempt personnel, including phone, video/online, and onsite interviews. This role requires a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures, including background check and drug testing protocols. The specialist will administer human resource plans and procedures, assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies, and contribute to department goals and systems. They will support the Sr. Human Resources Manager with employee relations, outplacement, and exit interviews, and participate in staff meetings and seminars. Additionally, the role involves evaluating reports, recommending process improvements, maintaining personnel files, facilitating employee status changes and separations, and supporting employee social functions. The specialist will also manage communication with federal and state agencies and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management, Organizational Leadership (preferred).

  • Experience of using a Human Resources IT System (HRIS) (onboarding, running reports).
  • Navigate through Quality Systems with training – CQ.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Must be able to successfully pass all preliminary employment requirements (i.e., background check and drug screen).
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

  • Understanding of people sourcing and best hiring/interviewing processes is a plus.
  • Experience utilizing social media for recruiting.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts recruitment of exempt, non-exempt Personnel.
  • Conduct phone, video/online, and onsite interviews for all assigned requisitions.
  • Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
  • Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Support Sr. Human Resources Manager with employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviews.
  • Participate in operational and administrative staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars.
  • Assist in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of facility in relation to established goals.
  • Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improved efficiency of the department and services performed.
  • Create and maintain personnel files.
  • Facilitate employee status change process for all personnel.
  • Process employee separation forms.
  • Support Organization Development’s morale initiatives by facilitating employee social functions.
  • Maintain and inform Sr. Human Resources Manager of all communication with federal and state agencies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
