Requirements

  • Must be able to interact with a variety of individuals at various levels under stressful circumstances while exercising sound judgement, tact, and diplomacy; work productively both independently and in a team setting; communicate with clarity, both verbally and in writing to groups and individuals.
  • Minimum: High School Diploma, with some college or technical school course work
  • One year of job-related experience, preferably in a Human Resources department; or
  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
  • Skills to intervene and promote reconciliation ,compromise and positive outcomes in difficult interactions

Responsibilities

  • Assists with recruitment and onboarding.
  • Conducts new hire orientations for all employee workforce members.
  • Responsible for posting jobs, networking, and coordinating with hiring managers to fill open positions.
  • Research effective advertisements for hard to fill positions.
  • Calculates and provides staff with annual uniform benefit allowance ,reviews orders and invoices.
  • Provides clerical and administrative support to the Human Resources department.
  • Compiles and updates employee records (hard and soft copies.)
  • Works on administrative and clerical duties consisting of the following: scanning, filing, faxing, answering phones, greeting visitors, providing information, and scheduling meetings.
  • Coordinate’s scheduling provider candidate travel and accommodation arrangements ;works with the Practice Manager, Chief Dental Officer and/or Medical Officer for Clinician Engagement to create the interview schedule; makes room reservations and sets up catering.
  • Responsible for processing Volunteers, Students, and Intern rotations.
  • Accurately scans employee personnel documents into ADP and maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
  • Conducts a quarterly audit on I-9sand other personnel documents.
  • Attends and participates in relevant departmental and clinic meetings and assist in the ongoing improvement of the shared services administration team.
  • Assists with La Clinica events and fundraisers.
  • Schedules and evaluates all pre-employment screenings and conducts reference checks for all non-provider positions; may assist with provider and officer reference checks as necessary.
  • Works with Director of Nursing to assure TB screening on all workforce members is completed.
  • Works with Credentialing team to assure all needed documentation is received by new providers.
  • Attends Accountable Communication workshops throughout the year.
  • Assists with creating new hire Relias profiles.
  • Other duties as assigned.
